| | Staff Sergeant Christopher Cronsell | |
Staff Sergeant Christopher Cronsell, native of Bath, Maine, performs on trumpet for the USAF Heritage of America Band. Prior to joining the Air Force, he served in the US Navy and the Air National Guard. Sergeant Cronsell attended the University of Louisville, the University of Southern Maine, and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He studied with Joshua MacCluer, Mark Schubert, and Jay Scott. He has participated in master classes with Charles Geyer, Barbara Butler, Glenn Fischtal, Roger Voisin, and Adolph Herseth. Sergeant Cronsell has performed for US and foreign heads of state, including Presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush; Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon; and the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. Recently he had the honor to perform with Summit Brass at the Mendez Brass Institute.
Sergeant Cronsell terms himself an "audiophile;" he has an extensive recording library and audio equipment collection. He also enjoys backpacking and fine watch collecting.
